After eleven years, the great designer returned to Dubai with one with a new stage of One Night Only, this time to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the opening of Armani Hotels in Milan and Dubai.
“This is an incredible metropolis: born almost from nothing, it evolves and changes at a frenzied pace, and has an enthralling energy” declares Giorgio Armani, reiterating how Dubai represents the change and the victory of the building will on a desert land.
Since a long time “King” Giorgio has found a thriving market in the Middle East, a place that perfectly marries his style – made of linearity and synthesis of precious touches. the same elements we find in the design of his hotel housed in the Burj Khalifa, the building with 160 floors, leaning in a spire soaring towards the sky with its 828 meters high, which remains the tallest tower in the world.
The One Night Only, traveling event that brings the Armani universe to the most important venues in the world, has touched six cities to date, London in 2006, Tokyo in 2007, Beijing in 2012, Rome and New York in 2013, Paris in 2014 , and is finally arrived at Dubai Expo with a fashion show that is a medley of men’s and women’s collections for spring-summer 2022, extended with the final gloss by Armani Privè and the singing performance of Chris Martin, leader of Coldplay.
A thoughtful way of conceiving our future by making everyone aware in discovering the theme of sustainability, the same that the group has adopted in accordance with the ISO 2021 standard, that of not using single-use plastic, avoiding food waste, and encouraging the rental of recycled equipment and materials, and the use of LED lighting.
The event was attended by international celebrities and personalities: from the above metioned Chris Martin, to Sharon Stone, Clive Owen, Lily James, Mélanie Laurent, Jurnee Smollet, Madelyn Cline, Taylor Hill, Eric Nam, to Celina Locks, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Marcell Jacobs, Raya Abirached, Hanan Sobati, Diana Haddad, Nahla Al Fahad, Raja Al Gurg, Giuseppe Finocchiaro, Nicola Lener, Paolo Glisenti.
